One of Augustus John’s sketches in Cardiff Museum really struck me with its apparent simplicity. Unfinished lines and elements, loose sketch and minimal shading, but yet so complete and so realistic.

Day 12 Prompt of the Soulful Faces Challenge I am currently following at the moment, is “Music”. And this sketch is the first thing that came to my mind when reading yesterday’s prompt.
I decided to give this prompt a go and let myself be inspired by John’s beautiful sketch.
